A man has been charged with attempted murder and having an axe and wooden bat following a "serious" assault on the A2 near Canterbury, Kent Police say. People from a car were assaulted on the London-bound carriageway near the exit for the A28 at Wincheap at about 05:40 GMT on 14 December and two men were taken to hospital,

Daniel Dunn was found guilty and sentenced to 40 years in prison. Officials deem him a Habitual Felony Offender (HFO), because of multiple charges involving law enforcement. Dunn was sentenced to 40 years as an HFO because of a shooting in Fort Myers.
