Queen Elizabeth II was battling bone cancer before her death, according to a new book. Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson describes, in his new memoir, “ Unleashed ,” his final meeting with the late monarch, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at 96.

“I had known for a year or more that she had a form of bone cancer, and her doctors were worried that at any time she could enter a sharp decline,” Johnson wrote of his last meeting with the Queen at Balmoral on September 6 when he formally tendered his resignation.

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has revealed that Queen Elizabeth II was diagnosed with bone cancer before her death.

Boris Johnson did not know an RAF F-35 fighter jet had fallen off an aircraft carrier until he was told about it by Elizabeth II.

“I had known for a year or more that she had a form of bone cancer, and her doctors were worried that at any time she could enter a sharp decline,” Johnson wrote of his last meeting with the Queen at Balmoral on September 6 when he formally tendered his resignation.

Johnson met with the late monarch two days before her death to resign from his position as the UK's Prime Minister. He detailed the meeting in his new book, "Unleashed."
