Carrie Underwood and The Village People are among the music artists set to perform at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration events.

Trump's second inauguration day will begin with a service at St John's Church, Lafayette Square, a historic Washington DC church, followed by tea at the White House. Musical performances and opening remarks are set to begin on the main event stage - located on the West Lawn of the US Capitol building - at 09:30 EST (14:30 GMT).

The official portraits of US President-elect Donald Trump and his second-in-command JD Vance have been released ahead of their inauguration on Monday. Both Trump and Vance are pictured in blue suits, white collared shirts and blue ties, with Trump wearing a small US flag pin on his lapel.

"And they go hard," a press release from the transition said about the portraits. The statement added, "In just four days, Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States and JD Vance as the 50th Vice President of the United States — and their official portraits are here.

The official portraits of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance were unveiled Thursday. Trump's expression in his portrait has caused some people on social media to compare the image to his infamous booking photo taken in 2023.
