LaMelo Ball has turned heads with an aggressive start to the NBA season. The recovered Hornets star is putting the league on notice that he’s ready to ball.

The viral video shows Ball walking through a doorway and getting spooked by a hidden mechanical clown at Spectrum Center.

As the Hornets prepared for their Friday showdown against the defending champion Boston Celtics, the team pulled a Halloween prank on Ball at their practice facility. The Hornets scared their star point guard, who screamed and threw punches at a three or four-foot-tall clown mannequin hiding at the bottom of a stairwell.

Despite the loss, LaMelo Ball had an excellent game with 36 points, four rebounds, six assists and two steals while shooting 15/26 from the field and 6/12 from the three-point range in 37 minutes. Many fans reacted to his performance.

The star point guard’s defensive effort and offensive prowess in season-opening win against Houston impressed coach Charles Lee.
