A Dayton woman is speaking out after a case of mistaken road rage that could have taken her and her 9-year-old nephew’s life.

DAVIE - A woman is recovering after being shot in the head during an apparent road rage shooting on Interstate 595, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. The shooting happened last Friday night, just before 8 p.m., near Hiatus Road.

Taking a drive with his wife of 20 years, Rondrica Davis, was a daily routine for Jeff. Now, every time the couple gets into their Ford Escape, they cry, staring at the bullet hole that pierced the car and struck Rondrica — as a long road of recovery lies ahead with bullet fragments still lodged in her head.

On Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., officers said they responded to a local hospital in reference to a shooting victim.

A man accused of shooting an 8-year-old boy in the head in a road rage incident has now pleaded guilty, Texas court records show.
