Anti-establishment Republican and former NBA player Royce White lost his bid for a U.S. Senate seat Tuesday after falling to incumbent Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar in Minnesota's top election matchup.

It was too early to tell Tuesday evening whether Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar will head back to Washington, D.C., for another six-year term in a contest against Republican challenger Royce White.

The DFL's Amy Klobuchar has beaten Republican Republican Royce White to win a 4th term in the U.S. Senate. Klobuchar claimed victory around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, with the latest updates showing her ahead by 28% with about half of precincts reporting.
