Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden will not be returning to the series this year, a spokesperson has said. Dowden was taken to hospital as a "precaution" after she began "feeling unwell" during the main show two Saturdays ago.

Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden has dropped out of this year’s series following a health scare. The Welsh professional dancer, who had a mastectomy and chemotherapy in 2023, injured her foot two weeks ago and was taken to hospital from the BBC’s Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire following the live show.
