There are many different types of skin glue, and some can look a bit more crumbly or change color when exposed to water. Showering with glue in place is very much OK.

My dr put glue on my nipple incision area, its been 2 weeks and the glue is taking so long to come off and when I try to peel it hurts as its pulling on me. Is there a way I can get it to come off easier? Should I dry it out or put oil on it? I want to put scar gel on but the glue is half in my way while other parts of the incision is showing.

If you are dissatisfied with the final appearance after it has healed, ask your surgeon what your options are. It can likely be revised in the office under local anesthesia.

There is no drainage or heat, just really itchy. It acts like an allergic reaction. I started treating it with a hydrocortisone cream today. How often is it ok to apply it?

Sep 1, 2014 · This will hold the repair and secure it even when the arm is moving. Surgical glue is a great adjunct to this repair to hold the skin together. Talk to your surgeon. It looks like a reaction from either the surgical glue/tapes or something you're putting on your skin. You can apply hydrocortisone cream to the area to help with the itch. If it gets worse, check with your surgeon. Good luck!
